Hi, I haven't been able to hear properly and at one point at all out of my left ear it all started when i was washing my hair and water got in it so i cleaned my ears out and the water went. but my ears were still dirty so i went back again and cleaned it with a cotton bud and i think i went to deep because when i took it out i couldn't hear anything out of it. i have been meaning to go to the doctors or the walk in clinic but because of my exams i have been busy studying. I tried some home remedys by putting some rice in a sock and putting it on my ear but that didn't work. After a while my hearing slowly started to come back so i tried cleaning it out again and when i cleaned it the first time brown wax was on it then the second time i was sort of like a pale white gooey stuff on the cotton bud, it had what i believed to be white chunks of skins on it i think, then recently i have been cleaning out my ear and the same substance keeps coming out. Also these last few days i have been cleaning my ears out the same substance has been coming out but also the substance stunk of what can only be described as a rotting smell. I'm not sure what to do as it is hard to go to the doctors and the walk in clinic with my exams so close together. I was wondering if someone could tell me what is wrong with my ear as i am getting very worried but i haven't let my mum know about the smell. My hearing had not come back properly yet but every time i clean it sometimes it gets worse and sometimes it gets better or occasionally it goes back to normal on its own but not for long.
