Vomiting Tendency, Medicine Intact Through Stools Or Vomiting, Pelvis And Knee Pain. On Medication For Ulcerative Colitis. Advise?
I had done Colonoscopy about four months back and found ulcerative colitis. Dr. had given me steroids. Now a days I am not feeling well, always having a vomitting tendency and use to vomit throughout the day and night. even I can not tolerate the smell of the cooked items. the medicines specially tablets come out intact through stool or through vomits. Strong acidity with burning sensation in the throat.. Also having pains specially at the evening started from pelvic region towards the knees in both the legs. What to do? Should I stop the medicines 'cause I think that I can not stand these medicines any more. What will be my food pattern? Thanks. The medicines initially were given - Omnacortil & Mesacol Enema. Then Zemakool 1.2g, Entofoam Enema and Ebet 40. Now Zemakool 1.2 g, Azoram 50mg and Ultrex were given.
Your symptoms can be caused by medicines side effects indeed. However it is also possible that ulcerative colitis complication is giving you such pain. It can be partial bowels obstruction due to inflammation process in the large intestine. Diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, bloated abdomen, blood in stool, mucus in stool, weight loss, weakness are the symptoms you may also have. Acidity in the throat can be due to acid reflux disease or stomach irritation due to medicines you are taking. And as this medicines are important to control your ulcerative colitis, I suggest you to do not stop this medicines without doctors consult. You should visit your doctor, have abdominal X-ray and ultrasound (to rule out obstruction), colonoscopy repeated if necessary.
Hope this will help. Regards.
