Ventilation tube in ears. Perforation after drained by suction. Clear fluid coming. Need broad spectrum antiboitics
Hi my son has Downs and ENT problems ventilation tube in one ear the other has been removed and perforation is left which is fine. THe other ear has been drained by suction yesterday and given Ciloxan drops, the problem is today I can see clear fluid coming from the tube this was explained to me as needing broad spectrum antiboitics do I need to see GP?

hello marion,your son is having an infection of the middle ear.the drainage is due to the infection.the fluid should should tested[culture and sensitivity] to identify the bacteria,and to detect its antibiotic sensitivity.an antibiotic is needed.plz see your gp asap.wishing your son good health. dr praveen.
