Vaginal Spotting. On Norethisterone. Pap Smear Test Is Normal. Scheduled For Ultra Sound. Should I Be Worried?
Hi i was spotting for 2 weeks then i went to my doctor and recommend me to take norethisterone so that my spot will stop and do a papsmear. After a few days i forgot to take the pill and i started heavy bleeding i ended almost pass out because i dont have iron anymore. I went to my doctor again and the papsmear came clear. She gave again a norethisterone to take because i am still heavy bleeding i take 3 times a day but i am still bleeding. She took me a blood test and waiting for the result and she recommend me to do an ultra sound next week. I am concerned because i have a blurred vision and palpitation if i take the pill 3x a day. I dont know what to do now. Please can you help me. Thanks
Please request your doctor to address this at its earliest, either by blood transfusions or high-dose supplementation. But do not discontinue the hormones as this has been prrscribed to help stop the heavy and irregular bleeding in order to prevent further aggravation of your anemia.
Hope this helps.
Best wishes.

Vaginal Spotting. On Norethisterone. Pap Smear Test Is Normal. Scheduled For Ultra Sound. Should I Be Worried?
Hello ma am and welcome. In my opinion the blurred vision and palpitation is due to iron deficiency anemia that has resulted from the continuous bleeding that you are experiencing.
