Trying To Conceive, Get Periods Rarely. Could It Be Menopause?

I am 39 and my husband is 42. I have always been very fertile and every regular but last year I had a my period maybe a had full of times and this year since the new year I have only had it once We want a baby and have obviously had an a difficult time getting pregnant. I am afraid I am in menopause but I am only 39. What do we do to get pregnant

Irregularity in periods can occur due to many causes.
You once consult gynecologist, get examined and go for ultrasound.
Then with her advice you can go for investigations like hemoglobin levels, blood sugar, thyroid profile, prolactin levels.
With this workup the possible causes for your problem can be identified and treated. Hormonal levels will also help in identifying the perimenopausal phase.
Then after regularization of the cycles, you can track the ovulation and plan intercourse around that period.
