Thick Endometrium, Dilated Fallopian Tube, Endometrial Cyst. Suggestive Of Endometriosis
The uterus is normal in size and retroverted. Its anterior and posterior myometrial walls show heterogeneous echo patterns but without any discernible sonologic lesions. The endometrium is thick, trilaminar with well-defined endomyometrial borders, suggestive of a proliferative phase endometrium. The cervix is normal in size and is sonologically unremarkable. The left ovary is posteri-lateral to the uterine corpus and is normal in size and echotexture with a leading/dominant follicle . The left fallopian tube is noted to be dilated measuring 1.9 x 1.7 x 1.4cm. the right ovary is also postero-lateral to the corpus and is adjacent to the left ovary. Within its stroma is a thin-walled (0.3cm) cyst with low level echoes measuring 2.4 x 2.4 x 2.1cm suggestive of an endometrial cyst. Both ovaries seem to occupy the cul de sac. Findings are suggestive of endometriosis.
