Taking Depo Shot. Have Missed Periods, Spotting. Pregnant?
I am on the depo shot and I haven't had any periods I am due on the 7th to get my second shot. I am now spotting. Can I be pregnant?
I had a lot of problems trying to find out if I was pregnant with all four of my kids. The first one I was sick for 3 wks off and on they did blood work and it came back neg. eight an a half weeks later I found out I was pregnant. It didn't even show up on the pregnant test.
Hi, Thanks for the query. As you are on depo shot, there is less possibility for pregnancy. Depo can present with side effects like intermenstrual spotting, delayed periods etc. Some women may have amenorrhea also. So possibly the delay in your periods could be due to depo. If you have doubt regarding pregnancy, better to go for quantitative blood test once. And you can go for your next depo shot as usual. Take care.
