Hi,
High prolactin may be due to any problem in hypothalamus, pituitary gland or during lactation period. Even it can raise in hypothyroidism. For its management needs evaluation like CT scan, its current level, blood test and general physical examination.
Side effect are production and spontaneous flow of breast milk and disruptions in the normal menstrual period in women.
