Suggest Treatment For Vaginal Discharge And Stomach Cramps

I am 27 years old, 5"10 and weigh 11 stone. I have a 3 1/2 year old child. I suffer from very high BP (upto 220/112) and see a specialist as an outpatient, I have a good diet, am not overweight and have a very healthy lifestyle. There is a family history on both sides of unexplained hypertension. I no longer take medication for my BP due to oedema associated but upto 6 months ago was taking Amlodipine, Ramipril and Bendroflorizide together to rapidly reduce the BP, my risk of stroke was calculated as low due to my age and lifestyle and the consultant has agreed to let me stay off the medication if I agree to be closely monitored - kidney function, BP, etc. Due to my high BP my GP would not prescribe the pill and the mini pill had caused bad acne. He recommended the coil. The family planning clinic fitted the T-safe 18 months ago. I had immediate cramping and had almost unbearable pain for the first 5 weeks (I would say I have a reasonable pain threshold and gave birth with just gas & air) I would describe the cramps as being on a level with contractions! I bled from insertion continuously for 2 months. I saw the family planning clinic at about 7 weeks and they said the coil had settled fine and that the pain and prolonged bleeding was normal for a while. My periods were regular before hand and average in flow, lasting 3-5 days. 2 months after having the coil fitted my periods became regular but so heavy that the largest absorbency of tampon will last around 45 mins. The periods last 11-15 days and are that heavy for the first 6 days. I spot in between periods and also notice a watery discharge that smells sweet usually but just before my period smells plaquey and sometimes mentally which I find disturbing! I'd not had this before the coil. I only have about 13 days between each period and those are spent either spotting or with the watery discharge. I have constant cramps in my abdomen, I actually can't believe it's been 18 months of this. I returned to the family planning clinic after about 9 months. The doctor said that everything was fine unless I had an STD. I said that I had been checked for everything under the sun when I was pregnant and then again 4 months after the birth (my husband gets coldsores and passed hsv1 to me which I was told is more rare in genitals than hsv2 and can be less aggressive. I have not had an outbreak since. At that stage I was checked for everything and all results were clear) and that my husband, who was the father of my child and I have known my whole life was also checked, so considering this I didn't think that an STD was likely; my problems started the minute that the coil was inserted. I told her that I had BV when I was pregnant but hadn't noticed any symptoms since. She did a smear test that day because I was due one (results all fine) and said that she did not notice any BV symptoms either. As such she said that unless I really wanted her to take the coil out I should stick with it as it would settle down. It's now been 18 months and if anything it is worse, the discharge is certainly worse. I've just moved so don't currently have a GP but will register and make an appointment as soon as I can take the time off work.
