Suggest Treatment For Swollen Lymph Nodes In Throat

I have had a sore throat off and on since March. I have been on amoxicilin, suprax, and now augmentin. my throat does not hurt anymore, however, the swollen lymph nodes in my throat wll not go away. I am about halfway through my 10 day dosage of augmentin, but the swelling isn t going down. No fever, no strep, a bit of a runny nose. No lymph nodes anywhere else. Any ideas?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.

Your symptoms seem to be related to reactive lymph nodes.
These lymph nodes are completely normal after a throat infection and will go away
gradually.
In case of pain,I suggest using anti inflammatory medications such as Acetaminophen.

Hope my answer was helpful.

If you have further queries feel free to contact me again.

Kind regards!
