I am a 55 year old woman who exercises regularly. I bumped my right elbow on the inside car door 4 weeks ago today. No swelling or bruising. Did go in to see my doctor this last week as it was uncomfortable. He moved it around and pushed on the area, with no pain. He thought it was tendinitis, gave me anti inflammatory medicine. Told me to put heat on it several times a day. He told me i can keep moving it, just try to not use it much and do as much as I can with my left arm. He told me to come back in a week if not better. A friend who is a massage therapist massaged my shoulder, arm and through my elbow. It did help, but now when I move my arm certain ways it sends sharp pain in certain parts of my elbow. It feels like it is the bone. It does not feel like break.
