Hello,
I have gone through your query and understood the concern. The scar needs to be assessed before planning the treatment. Physiotherapy including pelvic floor muscle stretching, scar mobilization, soft tissue massage, pelvic floor muscle strengthening etc. can be tried. Apart from this, trans-cutaneous electrical nerve stimulation, ultrasound and low-level laser therapy are used to treat scar and perineal pain. Whether the scar needs excision or not is decided by your gynecologist after a proper clinical evaluation. Healing time depends on the form of treatment applied. Hope you find this information useful.
