Hi,

As per your query, your child has symptoms of recurring cough which is due to upper respiratory tract infection leading to bronchitis/granular pharyngitis.

Need not to worry. Already he is taking so much of medication still not getting affected, I would suggest you do warm saline gargles and take steam twice a day. Avoid the use of sharp and spicy food substances. Avoid cold carbonated beverages. Your symptoms will resolve in 1 week. if symptoms keep on persisting you should consult Pediatrician once and take proper treatment. You should get an X-ray chest done along with pulmonary function tests. The doctor may prescribe antibiotics (amoxicillin or penicillin) along with decongestants.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
