Hi,

You are in the right way, trying to change your lifestyle.
Smoking cessation is not very easy, so you should not be disappointed if you failed once or twice. Keep trying, you can start to exercise, try to be as busy as you can, to forget about smoking. You will succeed.
About cholesterol, you just started statin and after some time it will start to decrease. But only taking statin is not enough.
I would advise you to have healthy diet: do not eat fastfood, avoid soda, animal fat, eat sea fish much, eat fruits and vegetables much, but remember do not eat carbohydrates in the evening.

Keep following healthy lifestyle and everything will be Ok
