Can Norco,Simvastatin And Amlodipine-benazepril Be Taken Together?

I m a 36 year old male, 6 , 200 lbs. I currently seeing three different drs for different things. The first is pain management Dr, for treatment of an L1 compression fracture, he has prescribed me norco 10mg when needed which is usually 3-4 times a day, and also mobic 15 mg once a day. My family dr has prescribed me simvastatin 20mg at bedtime and amlodipine-benazepril 10 mg once a day for blood pressure and cholesterol. And finally my dentist , penicillin vk 500 mg 4x a day for a tooth infection. How should these be spaced apart, or is there one that shouldn t be taken with the other.

Hi,

It is generally safe to take Norco, simvastatin, and amlodipine-benazepril together, but it is important to follow the dosage instructions provided by each of your healthcare providers. Norco contains a combination of acetaminophen and hydrocodone, which can cause drowsiness, dizziness, and respiratory depression. You should avoid alcohol while taking Norco as it can increase these side effects. Mobic, a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID), can also cause stomach upset and increase the risk of bleeding.

Simvastatin and amlodipine-benazepril are both used to manage high cholesterol and blood pressure. It is important to take these medications as prescribed and not exceed the recommended dose. Simvastatin should be taken at bedtime, as this is when cholesterol production is highest. Amlodipine-benazepril can be taken with or without food but should be taken at the same time each day to maintain consistent blood levels.

When taking multiple medications, monitoring for any potential interactions or side effects is important. Be sure to inform all of your healthcare providers about your medications, including over-the-counter medications and supplements. Your healthcare providers can work together to ensure that your medications are safe and effective, and may adjust dosages or schedules if necessary.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
