My 9 year old daughter has headaches, stomach aches, and sore throats at least 3 times a week. I have given her every over the counter allergy medicine. It doesn t seem to work. I have taken her to the doctor at least 9 times. I need help bad. Thank you!!
Since there is no relief with the OTC medicines the cause has to be found out. The probable causes in a 9 year old girl can be as follows: * Constitutional disease such as typhoid * Viral infection * Local abdominal problem like gastroenteritis, lymph node enlargement * Sore throat can be viral or bacterial causing swallowing of infected material causing stomach ache
Hence, I would advise her the following: * Consult a pediatrician for clinical examination * Investigations of blood, urine and stool * Ultrasound of abdomen All these will lead to a proper diagnosis and hence will have specific treatment.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
