Hi, I'm a 35yr old female, who 6yrs ago was put on meds due to an irregular heartbeat, now in the past year I have experienced A-Fib, the last time a week ago lasting 2 days, of coarse I had to stay in the hospatial, my Dr. says its no big deal I'm young, just one of those things.......does that sound right, plus I take 150mig of a batablocker a day! Thanks for your help!

Hello,

That is called paroxysmal atrial fibrillation, and there is no need for anticoagulation therapy. Beta-blockers are for controlling hight cardiac frequencies. You are young and without any other cardiac or stroke risk factors. For the moment it's not a problem. You should visit the cardiologist for routine controls.
