Suggest Treatment For Anxiety

Hi! I have a horrible problem with anxiety. Sometimes it feels like i am going to have a heart attack and i get dizzy like i am going to pass out. I use alprazolam to control it. It works very well! I live in a small town about two hours from the closest doctor. I was curious if you could proscribe for me so i dont have to drive so far? Thank you!

Hello
Welcome to HCM.
Your description suggest that you are having panic disorder.
For the treatment of this problem there are drugs like escitalopram, paroxetine. These belong to antidepressant group of medications and have anti-anxiety effects.
For aborting acute attacks, you use alprazolam. you can continue with this. But do not take this regularly as it is habit-forming.
Also you can practice relaxation exercises like deep breathing and meditation and yoga at home. these work wonderfully well to reduce anxiety.

I would also suggest you to avoid caffeine, alcohol and smoking (if you do).

Hope this helps,
Thanks.
