Suggest Treatment For Anemia

I went to my local blood bank to give blood today and I couldn't because they said i was anemic, I have never been told that I was anemic before. My level was below 10.5 and they said it should be at least 12 or higher. I have noticed that I have been very tired lately and also have been eatiing a lot if ice. What would you suggest I do ?

Hi, dear
I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern.
You have mild anemia. You should go for complete blood count with rbc indicies, peripheral smear examination and anemia profile. Find out the cause of anemia. It may be due to iron, vitamin B12 or folic acid deficiency or it may be due to some other cause. Take treatment accordingly.
Hope I have answered your question, if you have any doubts then contact me at bit.ly/Drsanghvihardik, I will be happy to answer you.
Thanks for using health care magic.
Wish you a very good health
