Suggest Remedies For Sore Throat, red Itchy Rashes On Chest And Groin

My six year old daughter had a sore throat and a fever up to 101 for the last two days her temperature is now normal but now she has small red itchy rash on her chest, arms, feet and groin area? Should we take her to the doctor or treat with calamine lotion? Thanks

Internal Medicine Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

She may be suffering from viral pharyngitis with rash. Until examination is done it is difficult to say what it is. Use tablet paracetamol (15mg /kg/dose) for five days. Use Amoxicillin and Clauvulinic acid according to the body weight. If the symptoms not improved please consult with your pediatrician he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
