Suggest Medication For Sinusitis

I have a 21 yr history of Asbestos exposure while serving in USN and after living and working in an atmosphere of asbestos dust 24/7 for two years in Australia (in USN) my sinusitis has gotten worse and I have an appointment with the VA to determine if my sinusitis is service connected or not and I want to be prepared for this VA medical evaluation. Thanks Bruce

Hello,
Thanks for your query.
Zyrtec, an antihistamine drug is again very useful in these conditions. Claritin D, antihistamine and nasal decongestant work similarly. You may use any one of these but not both. In addition, help yourself with steam inhalation three times a day for a few days. Mastication also helps in draining the fluid out of the ear - hence chewing a gum will also benefit you. You should be feeling better in a few days. Watch out for symptoms of fever, pus discharge from the ear, reduced hearing and or ear aches. You will have to get back to your ENT specialist if the aforementioned symptoms appear.
I do hope that you have found something helpful and I will be glad to answer any further query.
Take care
