I cant seem to loosen up chest. also concerned because i have tiny red spots on roof of mouth and back of mouth. should this be of concern? i am supposed to return to work in 2 days and not sure if I should be. General & Family Physician, Dr. Vasudha's Response
HI, Your fever is controlled with antibiotic, but heaviness in chest remain.the red spots on roof of mouth & back of mouth can be tiny ulcers in oral cavity due to Vitamin B complex deffeciensy following fever & antibiotics. The cough usually takes a longer time to reseed, but if you have yellow /green sputum/ breathing trouble/heavy chest-you should visit your doctor for revising treatment.there is possibility of bronchitis, pneumonitis after flue. Few investigations like blood counts, X ray chest may be needed for exclusion/ getting exact diagnosis. It will be followed by specific treatment . thanks.
