Does Medication For Cold Cause Drop In BP Levels?

My has high cholesterol an d is Med medication . He has now cold cough and fever and chills, sore through. He took cold medication of the counter. His blood pressure dropped. He became lathergic. What can Imgive I m for old and cough. We stoped the cold medication he felt better in 2 hrs.

No, these are not usual side effects of cold medications. You should see if some other medication you take have such side effetc and drink more fluids and salty food. If there is no improvement, you should see cardiologist since some heart issues may be related with low blood pressure.
