Hi, I appreciate your concerns. Irregular periods at this age could be due to hormonal imbalance. You need to get your thyroid hormone tested. Don t get bothered about bulky uterus. After having delivered before uterus seems bulky in some women. As long as you do not have heavy periods you need not worry about it. Now coming to your last concern about ovarian cyst. The ultrasound findings do not suggest anything serious. Have you done CA-125 blood test? What is the result? Is their a history of cancer uterus/ ovary/colon on your maternal side? In my clinic for such a patient, if -the CA 125 is normal and no history of cancer on the maternal side, I would do laparoscopic ovarian cystectomy ( removal of cyst). - CA 125 normal but there is history of cancer on maternal side, I would do laparoscopic removal of whole ovary. In both above scenario would send the specimen for histopathological examination. -CA 125 is high, I would refer her to oncologist. I hope I have answered your concerns.
