Hi , i had a overian cyst hemorragic cyst .. but my periods were regular. doctor suggested me to take femilon 21 days pack. after a month of medication the cyst cleared. so i stopped medication. Jul 19th is my last period. i missed my period this month. again i visited another doctor. she took gravendix test . it was negative also i undergone ultrasound scan . she said that there is a clear cyst .

Thanks for writing in to us.

Ovarian hemorrhagic cyst has a typical appearance on ultrasound scan. I would have liked to know the original size of the hemorrhagic cyst and its association with any pain. If you are having significant decrease in symptoms after taking femilon and repeat ultrasound scan shows a clear cyst, then the cause of your missed period might be a result of hormonal imbalance due to taking femilon.

The clear cyst size is important as it can also be a functional cyst which is harmless in most cases and will disappear in a few days.
