Dietitian & Nutritionist Kathy Shattler's  Response
Welcome to HCM! My heart goes out to you and I can only do a very little for you without working with you more extensively with both you and your doctor.

You most probably have multiple vitamin & mineral deficiencies-suggest B12, folic acid, iron, chromium, protein, but your limited data does not give me much to work on.

If you were my patient I would order fasting blood, Hba1c, CBC to determine extent of suspected anemia, B12, folacin(b12 deficiency will mask folate deficiency so ask for test),ferritin, liver enzymes AST/ALT & a few other s he may want

You need a healing nutritional plan. Here is what I would like to see you do Ask your doctor for a referral to Dietitian Take her the labs, a 3 day diet diary with times of insulin injections and glucose readings if you do those as well as a list of medications.

I wish I could help more . Once your source of anemia is found and treated you will feel much better. K Shattler,MSRDN
