Suggest Diet For Gastric Stromal Tumor

Hello. Is there anything I can eat or drink after being diagnosed with a gastric stromal tumor in my stomach. The dr. said he will do another endoscopy next year to see how much it grows or changes. What about in the mean time. I don t want to just sit & wait for it to be cancerous. Thankyou, Illona

hello,
1) you can take regular diet preferably seni-solid conistency.
2) it is advisable to undergo upper GI endoscopy at evey 6 month in case of stromal tumor in stomach (small sized)
3) you should avoid hard food which may cause bleeding from tumor due to friction
4) also you should check hemiglobin level and stool for occult blood test regularly, to check any minor repeated episodes of bleeding from tumor (blood move down along with food and also can be detected in stool)
I find this answer helpful
