Hello Eswar, thanks for using HCM.
Diarrhea is very discomforting but unfortunately effective treatment can only be given if an appropriate diagnosis is made from the vast number of possible causes which include viral infections, food allergies, food poisoning, protozoal infections etc. However, there are basic things to do to cut down the diarrhea and prevent complications which include: taking oral rehydration salt as much as possible, consuming carrots and bananas, avoiding milky food for now, washing your hands after each motion etc. In your case, since you have just the watery stools and assuming you have no fever, no bloody stools, no abdominal pains it could be likely you have just a viral borne or food related illness that will resolve within a few days. However, if you follow the basic things to do listed above and there is still persistence of the diarrhea, it will be advisable to see a gastro-enterologist for an evaluation and necessary test including a stool analysis.
thanks and hope this helps.
