Dear friend, thank you for choosing HCM.

arthritis is often mis/ inadequately evaluated.
has she done RA factor, anti-CCP level, CRP, Xrays of joints?
is she on NSAIDS, steroids, methotrexate?
has she been to a rheumatologist?
please give thsi info .
your tests mentioned are normal, but in no way indiate any arthritis.
I would advise a rheumatology consultation. there are many line sof therapy if type of arthritis is confirmed and may be beneficial.

I hope to have answered your query satisfactorily.
Take care and please keep me informed of your progress.
Good Luck !

hi,
if your moms pain and stiffness is in morning for greater than one hour and reduces followig activity and bilateral symmetrical hand joints are involved then it may be rheumatoid arthritis.

ur moms ESR is raised. RA factor, anti-ccp antibody test ,CRP should also be done to make the diagnosis. If diagnosis is confirmed then NSAIDs, DMARD, Biological agents alone are in combination are started. Physiotherapy & lifestyle modification is also required.
