Sprained Ankle, No Swelling, Limping Pain

I rolled my ankle while hiking in the grand canyon about a week ago. I couldn t walk for about 2 hours but after those 2 hours I was limping just fine. There is no swelling but it still hurts extremely bad to limp. I can limp and its gettin easier but it sends sharp and throbbing pain through my foot and ankle. What do you think is wrong? How can I fix it?

Hi,

Welcome to Healthcaremagic.

Based on the description of the condition I suspect of it be having a hair line fracture , hence do get a xray of the ankle done which can find it out and the treatment depends on the depth and the severity of the fracture.

Do immobilize the ankle with a ankle brace which will prevent progression of the problem.

Wish you good health.
