Spotting, Lower Abdominal Pain, Fatigue, Headache, Excessive Eating. History Of Intake Of Plan B After Unprotected Sex. Due For Periods In 2 Days. Possible Pregnancy?

I am scared I am pregnant. Me and my boyfriend had unprotected sex, however he did not ejaculate into me. Over 48 hours I took plan b to be on the safe side. I spotted for a few hours 4 days after, and have been experiencing lower abdominal pain, fatigue, headaches and excessive eating. What are my chances that I am pregnant. My period is supposed to come in 2 days.

Hello,
thanks for using health care magic.

Pregnancy occurs when a fertilized egg ( from fusion of the sperm and egg)
is implanted into the uterus. For this to occur, sperms have to be ejaculated
into the females reproductive organ so they can migrate to meet the waiting
egg during the fertile period of the female. Since your boy friend did not ejaculate
in you, it is less likely that you could be pregnant unless before he did withdraw
some sperm had entered. However, you took the emergency pill is effective in
preventing pregnancy for up to 7 hours after unprotected intercourse.

The spotting you experience after you took the pill could be explain by a dis-
equilibrium in hormone levels due to the pill while the symptoms you feel now
are most probable due to a menses that is about to come.

Hope this answers your question.
Best regards

Thanks for posting your query

From the information you have provided, I understand that there has been unprotected sex on one occasion in your last cycle with no ejaculation.

There s a very very small chance of pregnancy as the pre ejaculate fluid (male urethral discharge ) may contain sperms.

As you have taken plan B this chance is reduced (85% effective if taken within 48 hrs).

The symptoms you have described are non specific as they can occur prior to periods and also in pregnancy.

Wait for your periods as there is a high chance of getting it.
Periods may get delayed due to plan B intake.

If no periods even after a week from the expected day, check for pregnancy.
If you want to know it earlier, a blood test for HCG is better than the urine test.

Hope this has helped.
All the best, take care.
