Slight Brownish Discharge Oozing Out From Bellybutton, Very Light Colored Stools. History Of Removal Of Cyst And Ovary. Normal?
I have had a cyst and ovary removed with laporoscopy 6 days ago. Only today I've noticed slight brownish discharge oozing from my bellybutton but no pain or burning. Should I be worried about it? I keep a clean bandage on it, should I perhaps just leave it off and let it dry out? Also I've noticed that my stools are very light in colour. What would account for that?
Hi Dear, In laproscopy a small cut in given either in or below the umbilicus (surgeons choice) to insert the laproscope, besides a few other places. These are closed at the end of procedure with the help of stiches. Your brown discharge from the umbilicus perhaps is comming from the same cut and stitched placed in the umbilicus. If the discharge is very less and does not increase, not foul smelling and does not turn yellow in color than you can wait for few days. Just keep the area clean Also consult your doctor in case there is redness, swelling or re appearance of pain. Your stool also seems to be normal
