Sleeping Problem, Heart Race, Headaches After Stopping Claritin For Body Itching. Side Effects?

Hi, I have been taking claritin for 3 years for a body itching I got 3 years ago, nobody knows why. My itching got better and Im trying to stop the Claritin, but I feel like I have some withdrawal from the medication. I have problem sleeping, my heart races, suffer with headaches what I never had before and my mussels are soar all over my body.

Hi, claritin(loratidine) is a nonsedating antihistamin, so it should not have any drug dependance, but as you are using it since three years, you would have developed dependance.
I advise you to not to stop the drug, all of a sudden, and consult your doctor for tapering the dose. Thank you.
