Skin Irritation In Upper Body, Popping Up Blisters, Cold Sores In Mouth. Prescribed Sulfamethoxazole. Right Medication?

Thank you, I currently have a upper skin irration, small fever like blisters popping out, have some cold sores in mouth and it is only in the upper body from chest on up. Most are healing but still getting new ones. It appears like a herpes viris. I was prescribed Sulfamethoxazole, Would that seem efficient as I think it is viral.
Thanks,

Hi

thanks for writing here.

Small blisters with cold sores and fever suggests viral infection mostly herpes. You need antiviral medication. It will be better you consult a dermatologist and start treatment accordingly.

You can apply antibiotic cream over affected areas and take paracetamol tablets for reliving fever.

Hope this will help you.Take care.
