Antiviral medication

What is Antiviral medication?

Antiviral drugs are a class of medication used specifically for treating viral infections. Like antibiotics for bacteria, specific antivirals are used for specific viruses. Unlike most antibiotics, antiviral drugs do not destroy their target pathogen; instead they inhibit their development.

Antiviral drugs are one class of antimicrobials, a larger group which also includes antibiotic (also termed antibacterial), antifungal and antiparasitic drugs, or antiviral drugs based on monoclonal antibodies. Most antivirals are considered relatively harmless to the host, and therefore can be used to treat infections. They should be distinguished from viricides, which are not medication but deactivate or destroy virus particles, either inside or outside the body. Antivirals also can be found in essential oils of some herbs, such as eucalyptus oil and its constituents.

Hello...I experienced something just the other day while going to the bathroom. I stopped at a rest area to use the bathroom as I get ready to pee I noticed something on my penis around shaft part. when I looked there were 5 or 6 small clear like bumps which only seem irritated when I rubbed against it so I bust them which was a bad idea and clear like fluid drained out. So now it's a sore like feeling but not bad. Prior to all of this I did you a public restroom twice and haven't had no problems up until now. Any explanation behind this?

Hi, I had a dog bite me right below my lower lip and the dogs tooth went all the way through my mouth. The doctor did not suture it, and I clean the outside laceration with hydrogen peroxide and have bacitracin on it. I gargle hydrogen peroxide for the inside laceration. However, I still have numbness around my lower lip and it is swollen. I am unable to smile or frown without pain. Also I can feel a numb with my tounge where the laceration on the inside of my mouth is. Will this ever go away? Thank you and God bless.
