Sick feeling after meals since an episode of stomach uneasiness with vomiting. What is the reason?

Hi Doctor! I am a 29 year old female from india. In the last week, i have had uneasy stomach followed by vomiting and weakness. The vomiting went away the next day, but since then, i have been feeling kind of sick after lunch/dinner. It is some kind of uncomfortable feeling- maybe kind of gas, not sure. But the point is, what is wrong? I have not had this earlier. I havent visited a doctor for this and no medication either...What do you advice?

Hi Seema,
Vomiting along with loose stool can be due to Gastro Enteritis, which is infection of the gastrointestinal tract.
Get yourself examined and take some antacids and antiemetics like Ranitidine and Domperidone.
Also take some Probiotic. Take light diet. Avoid spicy and oily foods as they will cause more gastritis.
Drink plenty of pure filtered water.
Please get yourself examined for :-
1. Complete Blood Count
2. Liver Function Test
3. Stool examination
I hope this is useful to you. If you have furthur queries, I will be happy to help.
Thanks and take care.
