Should I Go For Pelvic Ultrasound For Missed And Irregular Periods?

I have a long menstural cycle usually of 38 days.i got down on 8 october then on 13 november then on 23 december &finally on 29 january.but now m not getting my periods till 22nd march.i have ultrasound done to find out pregnancy but its negative.is my cycle irregular?i missed my period ist tym since last 2 years.m married for 2 years now &planning for baby.i am confused how will i conceive if my periods are so unpredictable.is there any chances of pcod?please suggest whether i shud go for a pelvic ultrasound?please guide me.
