Should I Be Concerned About Thick White Discharge, Swollen Vagina And Pain During Sex?

Hi I was just recently treated via antibiotics for a kidney infection (pylonephritis) and a UTI. After finishing the antibiotics for that, I developed a yeast infection. I went and bought an at home 3-day suppository treatment and just finished that and it seemed to work ok. However, during the 3-day treatment, my boyfriend and I did have sex, with no issues. But now that I have finished the treatment, the inside of my vagina seems to be a little swollen and it s hard for my boyfriend to insert himself, and it s painful for me. I ve only noticed the swelling for the past 1-2 days and it s not painful (other than the failed attempt at intercourse), it is not irritated, red or itchy and it s on both sides. Also, I have been experiencing thick, creamy-like, white discharge with no odor (I m assuming it s so white because I just finished the suppository treatment yesterday). Should I be concerned? How can I reduce the swelling of (what I think) is my labia or the opening of my vagina.

Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
The symptoms that you have described are likely to be due to a vaginal infection. This is mostly a bacterial infection with a superadded fungal infection.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
