General & Family Physician, Dr. Jay Patel's Response
Hi,
The pain in the right side under the rib can be due to various cause, like a 1) costochrondritis (inflammation of joints of ribcage) 2) hepatitis ( liver issues) / pancretitis (pancreas issues)/gall bladder stone 3) may be a kidney stone. 4) may be testicle inflammation causing referred pain.
Being so many different cause its recommended that you must visit near by physician.
Since physical exam will help to rule out few of the causes more over you may need some other diagnostic tests to pinpoint exact issue.
Hope it helps. Dr.JAY PATEL.
