Red, Flaky And Itching Belly Button, Dried Up Stuff Coming Out. How To Get Rid Of This Problem?

my belly button is red and flaky and sometimes itches, the redness will go away but they dry and flakiness stuff is still there afterwards and then sometimes after forgetting to clean it after a few days it will have yucky dried up stuff and will be really red again.. this has been happening for a while and i am planing to get my belly button pierced next month.. i dont know how to get rid of it please help!!

Thanks for writing here.

It seems you are having either eczema or fungal infection on belly button.

Exact diagnosis needs visual impreesion.

It will be better to consult a doctor.

Do not go for piercing till the infection is completely cured.

You can apply a combination of steroid antifungal cream like candid b over affected area.
