i am a 41 year old women with a family history of heart problems. father has had many heart attacks starting at age 32, brother #1 heart attack at age 39, brother #2 heart attack at age 40..... uncle (fathers brother) fatal heart attack at age 50, grandmother fatal stroke age 53. plus great uncles passing of heart problems. up until 2 weeks ago i have never had heart burn before. these past 2 weeks i have had chest pain several times and i have assumed it has been heart burn. today the chest pain has been off and on for the past hour or so. it has just resently started bothering the my right elbow and the right side of my neck. because it is not my left side i do not think i have to worry. is this heart burn?
Hi, As you are above forties and there is strong history of cardiac problems in your family, your case should be evaluated. Pain is on left side or right side it does not matter. Go for EKG and rule out any cardiac ailment. consult physician and get examined. Ok and takecare.
