hi i m a patient with thyroid n pcod i m taking these medicine while i was in india the medicines are thyrox 25mg n for pcod my gayne advised me glycomet 500mg but now in d US the doc prescribed me levothyroxine 25mcg n metaformin 500mg twice a day by mouth Can i take these medicines instead of that ones .... any suggestion wud b realy helpful for me :)
Please do not worry you can take the prescribed drugs? Please take care of your diet and exercise and if you are overweight then try to lose some weight.
Your doctor can monitor Thyroid function test like FT3, FT4 and TSH to adjust the dose of Levothyroxine. Please go for periodic medical checkups.
