Pain In Left Wrist. No Relief By Applying Ice, Taking OTC Medicines. X-ray Shows No Fracture, Only Inflammation

Pain in left wrist since July. Pain is in the middle of the top side of wrist... feels like it is directly in the middle of the ulna and radius bones where they end into joint of wrist...No trauma to the wrist! One day doing push ups i just noticed pain! Rest, ice and OTC pain meds for two weeks....haven't done push-ups since July... Pain has not gotten better after it had been splinted for 8 weeks by primary doctor! X-rays did not show a break or fracture but showed inflammation in the wrist.... Im right handed so no "repetitive" motion in the left wrist... Pain level is a consistent 6-8... I can not put pressure on it ( like getting out of a chair, push-ups) if I bend wrist backwards or forward the pain will drop me to my knees... If the wrist is in a straightened position it has a constant dull ache.... Pain level 3-4 ... When sleeping and I turn from one side to the other side and apply pressure while turning .. pain is intense enough to wake me up! Help!

Hello, I studied your case and i found that might be you have sever muscle spasm or hair line fracture on wrist. For making to conform the diagnosis you must take digital X-ray or it can be Ganglion that is normal painless but sometime due pressing of nerve it can be painful or simply it may be muscle spasm for that you can take physiotherapy treatment. Hope so this advice can be effective for you.
