Ovarian Cyst, PCOS. On Livogeb, Reamine And Apcod Powder. Why Is Teeth Turning Yellow?
hi doctor, After treatment for ovarian cyst, my daughter has been adviced by our gynacologist for pcod problem to take livogen , Eramine & Apcod powder. but after using dem fr 1 week my daughter's teeth is turning yellow. I want to know does any of d said medicine has side eggects by which her teeth is becoming yellow??. please help me doctor.
Hi, Thanks for the query. Levogen tablets are iron supplements. They can stain the teeth, when the tablets are touched to teeth. So possibly the staining your daughter had could be due to this. As per the available literature, Apcod power may not be the cause for this staining. The staining due to iron supplements is reversible generally. So you consult your doctor once and discuss the problem. With her advice your daughter can temporarily stop the iron tablets or she can shift to some other brand. Possibly this can help in decreasing the staining. Better to be careful in future while taking the iron tablets. Take care.
