hello, my name is danielle. i went to the doctor on august 13 & they said i was not pregnant. i jus got off the depo shot on july 11-21. on august 24 i had light spotting. it continued for about a week on & off. it was very light bleeding. it was light pink. it is september 2 now & i still havent had a real period. am i pragnant?
Hi, After coming off the depo-shot, ovulation may resume in a couple of months. Meanwhile it is common for menstrual disturbances to happen as the body tries to adjust to the changed hormonal milieu. It is unlikely to conceive during the very first month after coming off the injection. If you wish to exclude/confirm pregnancy, please get the serum beta-hCG levels measured as they give you conclusive evidence. You may follow up with a trans-vaginal sonogram if needed. Please maintain a healthy weight and a healthy diet. Hope this helps. Take care.
