Hi,

Shampoos that contain ketoconazole or selenium sulfide help fight the infections that cause seborrheic dermatitis and malassezia, which can lead to hair loss.

Shampoos that have salicylic acid peel away the outer layer of skin cells to treat scalp psoriasis. Organic and natural shampoos can also help for hair loss. Herbs such as rosemary, chamomile, thyme, lavender, aloe vera, jojoba, jasmine and pomegranate, found in organic shampoos, are gentle, safe and effective.

contact your doctor to find the best treatment for your oily scalp. Certain illnesses or medications may be causing your oily scalp and hair loss. Inadequate nutrition, diets lacking in B vitamins, zinc or good fats can lead to hair loss.

I do hope that you have found something helpful and Informative.

Hello,
Welcome to healthcare magic
Dandruff is caused by a fungus called Malazessia. This fungus is a normal commensal( residing in the body). Some people will mount an immune response against it causing dandruff. This fungus lives in oily skin.

I usually treat dandruff with a shampoo containing Ketoconazole 2% and ZPTO 1% thrice a week for a month. After that continue using once a week at least for maintaining the improvement. Do not apply oil on your scalp.

The foods mentioned by you can increase the oiliness. Have them in moderation.
Dandruff can worsen male pattern baldness thereby causing increased hair fall.

Hope this helped
Take care

Hi,
Welcome to HCM.
Increased oil & dandruff is a common problem.
Don’t worry.
Use Nizral shampoo each alternate day.
Use common shampoos in remaining days.
Don’t use scalp oil.
Nizral should be used as follows
1. Rinse the hair with water
2. Apply Nizral over whole scalp
3. Massage for 2 minutes
4. Wait for 5 minutes
5. Clean with water.
Do it for 3 consecutive weeks.
Good luck
