My mom has a heartburn. She smokes and she is overweight

My mom has been complaining of severe heartburn for some time now. She tried finding out what it was and thought it was a heart attack or something. Today she went to the hospital with my oldest brother. On her computer there was a google search for heart racing. She s in her 50s, a smoker, and overweight . Any idea what is wrong? I can t sit hear and not do anything... here* She s still there and when I called my brother he just said they were at the hospital.

Hi, I am a 36 female. I have had two children naturally. I have no known allergies, and take a multivitamin daily. I am not overweight, eat a healthy diet, exercise 5x week. I do not smoke and only drink alcohol occasionally. Now for my question. I have some concerning symptoms. 1. Always fatigued. 2. Sharp to gnawing pain in my abdomen right under my breast bone that goes through to my back. I don t always have it, but had it occur again the morning after having had 2 1/2 glasses of wine at a party. ( a rarity for me) tenderness to palpation all across the top quadrants of my abd. And a palpable and tender bulge in the upper right quadrant. I now have had heartburn everyday after eating for one week. I never get heartburn either. What the heck is going on with me? I m a nurse and tend to put things off, but I m getting a little worried. Please advise? Is it time to see a GI doc? Thank you

Hi! I am a 61 year old female. I am 5 6 inches and overweight. 190 lbs. I had an EKG today and the technician said it showed low voltage. ??? she ran another strip and said it was ok but of course she can not diagnose. I do have MS.but no other symptoms of heart problems.... I am a double D breast size and was told it is sometimes hard to get a reading if obese. I am concerned because this will decide if I will be able to be approved for an oral drug to treat my MS. I am hoping for an ok report from the doctor. Do you think I should be concerned about this? I do have heartburn randomly because of mega dose of D3....hope that is the reason and not my heart. I have been on betaseron for 4 years... thanks for the info. prob just need piece of mind.

Hi, I m a 55 year old female - not terribly fit, but not overweight - but under an enormous amount of stress. I ve been having what I think are heartburn symptoms over the last week, mainly at night. Pains in my chest (middle to right), burping like mad (but no reflux) and pain in my shoulder blades & collarbone. No spicy food or alcohol - I don t smoke.

my friend is male, 58 yrs. Had a heart attack 3 yrs ago and had a bypass. He had a mild heart attack last month no bypass.Today at his check up his cardio. dr. said that he has an 80% blockage in 4 artries not counting the ones bypassed 3yrs ago. These blockages are in places where there is a 75% chance that an operation would kill him, according to the dr. The dr said that my friend is a walking time bomb, gave him 6-8 months and added that stress, strain, physcial exertion could cause it to happen quicker.I know diet and exercise are very important in keeping a healthy heart. Is there ANYTHING my friend can do except wait?

Hi, My father is 63 years old. 2 days back he suffered a chest pain for a long time when he was walking for quite sometimes. He did some chest examinations and after he was shown a cardiologist he told that apart from a blockage in heart there is a small miocadial infarction.
I don't stay with him and i really don't know what is the his health condition and what is the immediate doable for him.
He is fine now. Some medicines are given. I don't understand was it a heart attack because the doctor haven't told like that.
I stay in Bangalore and is in Kolkata. Pls suggest the immediate doable and places where treatments would be good.
