Medication For Gout When On Allipurinol?
i SUFFERED WITH GOUT FOR A COUPLE OF YEARS, THEN ABOUT 1 YR. AGO MY DR. PUT ME ON ALLIPURINOL ONE TABLET PER DAY. I HAVE BEEN FINE UNTIL ABOUT 1 WEEK AGO. I HAVE GOUT IN MY BIG TOE AND UNDERNEATH ALL MY TOES ON BOTH FEET. I THOUGHT THAT I WAS TAKING THE MEDICATION I WOULDN T GET GOUT ANYMORE? HELP!!!! PLEASE.

Although Allopurinol is the medication of choice to treat gout, that is not enough. Diet changes and healthy lifestyle regimen are also a must.
You should talk to a dietitian/doctor to prepare a diet menu according to your needs and health conditions.
