I have just been told that an mri i had for lower back pain shows an adrenal nodule. I have had high blood pressure ( mild-moderate) for 8 yrs. lately I have had pressure in my chest especially after meals. I had echocardiogram and stress test all passed with flying colors. Physical in December showed no sugar in blood, no bad numbers for any profiles. What is this?

Hi
Thanks for posting your query.

First of all the adrenal nodule is not causing your back pain.
A nodule in adrenal can be active or inactive. Active means it secretes hormones of adrenal gland in excess which causes symptoms like chest pain palpitations hypertension sweating ....I think you are having few of these.
To confirm whether its active you need to get certain blood and urine test. These are 24 hour urine VMA .
Revert back with test report.
