Good evening doctor ...I am 26 year old and my husband is 31. Before 2 years we got married. My husbands sperm count is very low.. we conducted semen analysis twice. and the results are; 1) 0.45 million/ml 2) 0.39 million/ml. And following tests also we conducted results are given below.. FSH- 14.6 LH-12.4 INHIBIN B- 41 our doctor suggested us to go for MICRO -TESE. please give us an advice regarding above details..
Hello Thanks for your query, based on the facts that you have posted it appears that your husband has Oligospermia the sperm count being too low (0.45 millions /ml.) in a given situation there are no chances of natural pregnancy . You have to get active motile sperm directly from the Testis by the method MiCRO TESE where sperms are picked up from seminiferous tubules of the testis and used for fertilization of female egg. This is surgical procedure done under short general anaesthesia by a infertility specialist.
